Top effort brings RNR near 6th at Bathurst
Tony D’Alberto and Jason Bargwanna put in a sterling effort at today’s Bathurst race, climbing up the ranks from a start near the rear of the pack to reach 6th position towards the end of the race. Only 2 laps from the finish an incident found the car in trouble after heavy impact was made with a wall. The car was able to limp back to the pits but its day was at a close after having fought a strong race where it was a step above other cars in its performance and stamina.

RNR primed and ready for Bathurst.Rod Nash Racing is prepped and ready to perform in Sunday’s monster 161 lap Bathurst race. Drivers Tony D’Alberto and Jason Bargwanna have given race preparation their full attention, delivering impressive times in practice sessions in the lead up to Sunday’s early start. D’Alberto found himself caught up in the stop-start nature of today’s qualifying session and was unable to reveal the true strength of the car. D’Alberto managed a good lap despite the set-back in a time of 2:09.9264 to qualify in 24th. Bathurst is renowned for providing ample opportunity for drivers to plot their campaign from further back in the field, giving D’Alberto and Bargwanna every chance at reviving the car’s good form from practice to produce a top race result.
