D’Alberto on target for Queensland Raceway

Fresh from his success at Darwin, Tony D’Alberto is heading to Ipswich for this weekend’s round of the V8 Supercar calendar.

The #55 Bottle-O Commodore has been repaired after the minor bruising it received at Darwin, giving D’Alberto the best chance at qualifying well at Ipswich. Once again qualifying will be key to securing a good starting position on the grid, which will flow through to race performance.

The Queensland Raceway circuit is set to serve drivers a top weekend of racing with three races scheduled comprising 38 laps each. Fine weather is forecast across the round, making tyre selection straight-forward and giving D’Alberto the opportunity to concentrate purely on pace. D’Alberto is in with a real chance to hold a position near the front and get a firm grip on a solid finish.

D’Alberto is looking forward to the challenge, especially following the team’s accomplishments at Darwin a mere fortnight ago. The crew have made big improvements on car set-up, which is also attributing to the car’s speed and handling on track. The team will focus heavily on car set-up in the lead-up to qualifying to provide D'Alberto with a finetuned V8 that's ready to roar through Queensland Raceway and set the pace for competitors.

D’Alberto will get a chance to put the car through its paces this Friday with three practice sessions starting from 12:45pm. Qualifying will unfold on Saturday morning with Race 1 from 3:35pm.
