D’Alberto and Bargwanna team up for enduros
Rod Nash Racing has announced that Jason Bargwanna will team up with Tony D’Alberto for endurance races in the 2008 season. The alliance brings together a considerable amount of driving skill that presents a highly competitive outlook for Sandown and Bathurst.
D’Alberto raised the stakes in the early rounds of the season, making an impressive debut into the main league with plenty of pace and talent to excel. D’Alberto has already delivered a race finish within the top ten and interest is building in what this young driver can do in a longer race.
Bargwanna has a full racing pedigree behind him including a win at Bathurst in 2000 to highlight his accomplishment as a driver.
“Jason is the perfect fit for our team,” Rod Nash said. “We have a strong team this year with Tony (D'Alberto) and securing a co-driver like Jason will enhance our chances of success in the biggest races of the year.”
“Competing in his 14th Bathurst 1000 this year the team could not have asked for a more experienced and conditioned campaigner.
“We are really looking forward to working with him this year,” he said.
D’Alberto and Bargwanna share more than just their racecar in common; They are also a height match, which will make car set-up and driver changes a breeze. The pairing shows all the early hallmarks of success and the team will not have long to wait to see the results, with Sandown just around the corner on the 7th of June.
