The Bottle-O Racing Team driver, Paul Dumbrell has delivered clean, quick laps in today’s practice sessions, finishing the day with the 3rd fastest time.
The team had a bumpy start to the first practice session with an early brake rotor bedding issue. The team swiftly changed the springs and took the opportunity to make minor adjustments in the pursuit of a perfect set-up for the Clipsal street circuit.
The work produced an immediate result, giving Dumbrell the mechanical muscle to shear down his lap times and carry good pace around the circuit. Dumbrell recorded the 3rd fastest lap of the Practice Session 2 in a time of 1:21.7511.
It was a great result for the day and the crew are eager to put their hard work to the test in Saturday’s qualifying. The pace of the #55 Bottle-O Falcon, combined with Dumbrell’s skill and knowledge of the circuit gives the team a very positive outlook for the weekend.
Qualifying begins at 10:30am, with the first race to follow from 2:35pm. With 78 laps to contest it will be a physically and mentally demanding race. Drivers will need to exercise caution if they are to keep their cars fighting fit for Sunday’s repeat of qualifying and Race 2.
